What we should pay attention to
Before you start writing your response
1. Read the question carefully
2. Do not start writing immediately
3. Think of the position that you will be taking
4. Write down your key arguments
Writing Introduction paragraph
1. Introduce the topic
2. Paraphrase the question
3. Share your Opinion
Writing Body Paragraphs
Present your key argument – elaborate it and back it up with an example (relevant example only)
Present another Key argument- elaborate it and back it up with an example (relevant example only)
KEY ARGUMETS could be in form of AGREEMENT/DISAGREEMENT, ADVANTAGE/DISADVANTAGE, OPINIONS (BOTH) etc.
Conclusion:
Write a summary of your body paragraphs, do not add any new information here.
Points to be kept in Mind while writing:
1. Tone must be polite and professional
2. You should be grammatically correct
3. Sentences should not be too short or too lengthy (Ideally 10 to 30 words)
4. Use at least one compound sentence
5. Write one or more complex sentence
6. Use Have-Had, Has-Had
7. You may also use passive voice
8. Use synonyms – better vocabulary
9. Use appropriate phrases (If possible)
10. Do not repeat similar sentences – try to start your sentences differently
11. Your key argument does matter – how effectively you are able to justify your thought.
