03 Aug CELPIP writing Task two, Survey Question with Answer.

Q1: Your Company’s management is thinking of creating a facility in its premises. The Management is surveying your opinion on what to have. The major question is whether the company should build a gym or a child care center.

Choose the option that you prefer. Why do you prefer your choice? Explain the reasons for your choice. Write about 150-200 words.

Option A:

Gym: This gym would include a volleyball  court, exercising equipments and shower rooms.

Option B:

Child care center: This center would include a playground, a green area, and some classrooms.

For an employee performing one’s job in an agreeable condition and a comfortable environment is the top priority. Creating a child care facility in the company’s premises will be a welcome step towards achieving this goal.

Working parents would boost up their job performance knowing their children are at a safe place in class or in the playground in the same building for many reasons. First of all, they will not worry about their whereabouts and the problems they are having. Mothers would stop being anxious and concentrate more on their tasks. Additionally, they would have the opportunity to check on their children at break time or on emergency situations without leaving the work place. It would definitely reduce their stress and save the workers’ valuable time and energy, making them more relaxed and improve work productivity.

On another related note, setting up a child care facility can become a profitable venture for the company. Financially speaking, such facilities constitute a lucrative investment opportunity. Hence, the organization should take initiative to resolve child care issues for working parents and may create additional employment along the way.

This can set a good example for other companies and attract more qualified and skilled professionals, based on the above arguments I strongly recommend building a child care facility.
